none of those can be put in baby’s mouth… use your own breastmilk… after a feed squeeze out a few drops and spread it on like an ointment, let it dry, and keep it dry, applying a little more between feeds if you need to. also go topless if you can. I would not use anything other than lanolin or my own breastmilk…. for you it’s the latter…. here’s some info on it: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/concerns/mom/nipplehealing.html After feeding, pat dry your nipples and express some breastmilk to rub into them (this should be avoided if you have thrush as it thrives in milk). Breastmilk has Vitamin E in it which is very healing to the skin. Note: Avoid applying Vitamin E oil from a capsule to your nipples as this can be toxic to your baby! http://www.breastfeed-essentials.com/sorenipples.html if your breastmilk does not help, there are some prescription things that may do the trick… but this is a really wonderful treatment option
Good luck!
